Art always had a gravitational pull on me. If a project ever involved a pencil, coloring or paint I was jumping at the chance but sadly, no one encourages children to become artists anymore. Careers in other forms of art such as graphic design, architecture, photography and even music are more applauded routes of life than drawing on a piece of paper. What once was looked at as a highly respectable, even worshiped, profession had lost its standing.

Ergo, I went ahead in another direction. Fulfilling my other passions of connecting with people and traveling the world. 12 years in the hospitality industry taught me more about service, communication, management and growth than any other field would have. I am grateful for the abundance knowledge I gained. It has given me the tools and confidence to venture on my own and forge my next path.

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, like many others, I had a decision to make. Sit and wait to potentially get my job back in the unforeseeable future or make a change. I packed up, moved home and started an entirely new chapter.

January 2021 I decided to pursue art with the goal of becoming a full-time artist by 2025. I still have a lot to learn (which I love!) and am pushing myself everyday but I have never felt more at peace with where I am at. I am filled with joy as a client opens their custom drawing or when a business sees their completed mural for the first time. Bringing memories, vibrancy and love into your space is what motivates me to be the best artist I can be.

xo,
